Made the Move

For the past twenty years, I have called the Tidewater area of Virginia home. Due to certain circumstances, my family and I recently made the move to the Atlanta metro area. Seven hundred miles away and not knowing anyone or the area has been stressful. However, this was a move that we have been wanting to do for some time.

I do miss Virginia a lot. I find myself comparing everything here to its equivalent in Virginia. I am hoping as the job market opens up, especially for pilots, that I will have a much better opportunity for finding some flying gigs. With a wet commercial, 400 hours, and no multi-engine rating, the opportunities so far, have been far and few between.

I have been really contemplating taking the plunge and starting CFI training. I am sure it will make me a better pilot and flying without having to pay for the time would be a welcome relief on my checkbook. For those that reside in the Atlanta area, If you have any recommendations on any flight schools in the area, I am all ears.
